The recently unveiled teaser shows Prabhas in two opposite looking looks – one is bursting with a charisma, energy and style, and the other indicates a supernatural or cursed past.
Director Maruthi is working with confidence about his upcoming horror-fantasy film The Rajasab, starring Pan-Indian superstar Prabhas. During a grand teaser launch event in Hyderabad, Maruththi boldly predicted that the film would cross the IT 1000 crore mark when he is a hit in theaters on 5 December.
Addressing the media from across the country, Maruththi was asked whether Rajsab, previous blockbusters of Prabus such as Bahubali and Kalki may match or cross the box office performance of 2898 AD. Without any hesitation, the director replied in Tamil, “It will definitely create the amount.”
To strengthen her point, Maruththi recalled the success of Tamil remake of her Telugu film Prema Katha Chithram. “Everyone saw how well Darling did in Tamil Nadu. It was my story too. I believe that Rajasab will echo here too.”
Asked about the plot and speculation of the film that Prabhas plays a double role, Maruthi clarified that the star appears in just one character, although with different colors. Even before the release, the film is creating significant discussion. It is the largest horror-fantasy set ever in India-a huge, terrible mansion that ends an inauspicious attraction and mystery.
The recently unveiled teaser shows two opposite Prabhas – one is bursting with a charisma, energy and style, and the other indicates a supernatural or cursed past. These glimpses have only increased the expectation. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Nidhi Egrawal, Malvika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar, all of which play the characters tied to the mysteries of the haunted mansion.
Built by the People’s Media Factory, Rajasab is being built as a true Pan-Indian entertainer and will be released in five languages-Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
In-charge with Prabhas, a recreational style, grand set, and known to give a hit with a director, Rajsab is already postponed as one of the most awaited films of the year-and probably another 1000-crores blockbuster in making.
