Shenil Dev and Adivi Shesh have written a long story which has very few good points but otherwise it is boring. The script of the duo, along with Karthikeya’s additional script, is so long and so long that it tests the audience’s patience. Overall, Dacoit is a below average love story. It is very long and boring and hence will prove unsuccessful at the ticket counter.

Dacoit: A Love Story had everything… a powerful premise, a strong cast and a promising start. But weak writing, confusing screenplay and inconsistent direction let it fail. Watch it for Mrunal Thakur as she really shines and carries the film on her shoulders. The intensity of Adivasi Shesh and the presence of Anurag Kashyap also add value. But beyond that, it remained a film that had a lot to say, but didn’t know how to say it. Overall, Dacoit has a strong start and great performances, but ultimately it’s a messy, disappointing watch.

Overall, DACOIT maintains interest due to its huge moments, action and performances. But the narrative is bogged down by haphazard execution, glitches and flawed turns. At the box office, the Telugu version is expected to get a good start, while the Hindi version will get an underwhelming start. However, if it finds acceptance among the masses in the Hindi speaking region, it may benefit from a clear window of a week.

The disappointing thing is that Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha isn’t entirely terrible. There’s a good story buried in there somewhere, but the execution is so lazy and confusing that it never comes together. It keeps promising something exciting, emotional, thrilling, only to deprive us of the experience of masala entertainment that it teases. In the end, you don’t get angry. You’re just tired. And maybe a little entertainment, but not enough to save it.

But it is also a drink that not only tries to intoxicate the head but also makes the heart happy.
