The film’s biggest strengths are its funny situations and clever writing with some genuine pop-culture mentions that will make you laugh. However, there are some shortcomings as well. The second part loses its steam for 15-20 minutes. You might think that Ashish and Ayesha’s love story is boring. The songs are good, but don’t register with you, except Honey Singh’s Jhoom Sharabi. The films looked a bit disorganized after the interval and the big twist at the end seems a bit predictable. Overall, De De Pyaar De 2 is a must watch – a great return to comedy on the big screen. Despite some minor flaws, DDPD 2 will keep you watching throughout. P.S. Brace yourself: the film ends with a major nod to the sequel, and the core concept of the film far exceeds that of DDPD 2.

Despite all its small joys, De De Pyar De 2 has been remarkably successful. It’s funny without being corny, emotional without being heavy, and self-aware without being self-indulgent. Its humor is warm, its observations are frank as well as warm, and its story is consistently engaging. The film knows exactly what it wants to be — and it delivers it with charm, confidence, and heart. De De Pyaar De 2 is an entertaining complete family entertainer full of wit, warmth and soul.
